 Grants
The Parker Griffith Family Foundation is pleased to announce the
Reading Readiness Grant for the 2009-2010 school year. Improving public education by
offering support to teachers, administrators, parents and students in our community has
been a priority for the Parker Griffith Family Foundation for over five years. Although it
has been a pleasure to award individual and community grants in the past, we have decided
to focus our efforts on the fundamentals of reading for the benefit of all of our
children.
The Reading Readiness Grant is a two hundred dollar grant awarded to each public
elementary school library for the purchase of books and tools to enhance the reading
readiness of elementary school children in our community. The grants will be given out to
each library by a member of the Parker Griffith Family in August of 2009.
